This class is for adults who want to increase strength, flexibility and endurance in an artistic, low-pressure setting. This exercise class incorporates dance moves that help build strength and stability while being low-impact and easy on your joints. Stretching is interspersed throughout the exercises to increase flexibility and to ward off any cramping or tension after the workout. The goal is to build long, lean muscle, as opposed to bulking up.
The workout includes barre exercises used by dancers all over the world to create strong and supple bodies, Pilates elements to enhance strength and stamina and balancing exercises to increase stability and core strength. There is no pounding or putting pressure on your joints or ligaments. It is a workout that will leave you feeling toned and lengthened, rather than simply exhausted.
One of the most fun elements is the flow of the class. We use very simple dance moves to transition between exercises, which creates a flow for your mind and your body. It allows your workout to feel more artistic and creative!
